The North Texas Rehab Auction is gearing up to celebrate it’s 42nd year. The Auction series (TV, livestock, silent, live) is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Rehab Center. Last year, more than $264,000 was raised and since 1969, the money raised from the auction has totaled more than $6.4 million, which goes to provide sponsored services to clients who otherwise couldn't afford care.
This year’s Silent & Live Auction dinner will be held Saturday, April 24 at MPEC. The silent auction will open for bidding at 1pm and will close at 6:15pm. Dinner, featuring the always popular prime rib, fried shrimp and calf fries and all the fixings, will be served at 5pm and the live auction bidding starts at 6:30pm.
This year’s major sponsors are United Supermarkets-Market Street, Patterson Auto Center and the First National Bank of Byers.
As always, about 100 premiere items will be up for bid in the live auction, including Barbara Mayo’s famous fudge and several trips to resorts. There will also be more than 200 items on display in the silent auction.
The Auction series will kickoff with the annual TV Auction on KFDX Wednesday, April 14. 96 items will be up for bid over the three hour broadcast.
If you or your business would like to donate a new or gently used item to this year’s auction, please drop it off at the Rehab Center no later than April 14. If you would like to donate livestock to an area sale barn, please make note of the sale dates above. Make sure you designate your proceeds to go to NTRC.
